Group Critique
During the Seminar there will again be an opportunity for those registered to have their writing read and critiqued by our instructors. Mail it to reach us one week before the Seminar, and enclose the fee for the piece submitted. The fees are: book proposal $20.00 (one, maximum 15 pages), article $10.00 (one, maximum 1,500 words), devotional $5.00 each (maximum two), poem $5.00 each (maximum 3). There will be four group critique sessions in the Williams Chapel, centered around the four types of submissions. Your written piece will be returned to you at the group critique, with written comments, and there may be an opportunity for each person to have an individual appointment. Mail your written piece to reach Jon Drury by February 15, 2008, one week before the Seminar. Critique is not guaranteed for pieces reaching us after the deadline.
Note that the critique times are Saturday during the workshop hours, so you may need to buy a tape or CD of a workshop you are missing if you wish to meet with the instructor who has read your manuscript.

Poetry Critique During Workshop II, Saturday, 9:15-10:30am
Article and Devotional Critiques During Workshop III, Saturday, 11:00am-12:15pm
Book Proposal and Article Critique During Workshop IV, Saturday, 1:15-2:30pm
Guidelines
Poetry
Your typed manuscript can be single or double spaced, but no more than three pages. It can be one poem per page or a three-page poem. The group critique will be a poetry reading with each poet reading their own work. Denella will meet with individual poets on Saturday by appointment.
Book Proposal
Submit your proposal typed, double spaced, page numbered, on one side of 8 ½ x 11” white paper in 12pt. Times New Roman or Arial font. Include name and book title on each page at the top. Maximum 15 pages. Include synopsis, first chapter, and projected word count of the manuscript.
Article
Submit your article typed, double spaced, on one side of 8 ½ X 11” white paper in 12pt. Times New Roman or Arial font. Articles should be no longer than 1200 words. Include your name, article title, and approximate word count on the first page. Folders or report covers are not necessary.
Devotional
Submit your devotional typed, double spaced, on one side of 8 ½ X 11” white paper in 12pt. Times New Roman or Arial font. Devotionals should be no longer than 500 words. Include your name, devotional title, and approximate word count on the first page.
